I like to start by thanking Mdm Samm and Kirsten of Meadowbrook, our cheerleader, for organising this new bloghop Pin it!, I had great fun making my pin cushion. It wasn't easy at all picking the one I wanted to make, with the great boards on Pinterest one finds so much inspiration.
I made a tribute to our greatest cheerleaders at home, I don't mean our DH/DW, DSs or DDs, not even our dearest DM/DF or BFs, I mean our pets, I have a cat, but the same goes for dogs in all shapes and sizes. On blogs and on Facebook I see them everywhere, always cheering us on in their own way.
Our cat likes to check out new fabric, she sniffs it and loves the feel of it,
she tries it before it gets out of the bag or I get the chance to cut it
When cut she likes to guard the pieces, ofcourse to help me not to loose them,
and when the pieces become a block she still attends to it, but the most she loves is when I start quilting,
she fits so nicely in the quilting ring,
we sometimes fight who has more rights over the quilt in the ring,
most of the times I win,
but when I feed her the next morning we are best friends again
We both agree nothing sleeps better than with a quilt
And now my Pin it! Pincushion:
A tribute to our cat Twister
I made a square cushion, the block is a bit bigger, so it covers the edges of the cushion, I can place my needles in the flat space, they won't get 'sucked' into the pincushion and vanish as they like to do.
Pins go in the cushion, not in the cat!
I putted a pipecleaner in the tail, now I can form it in a nice shape or place a bobbin on it.
It even fits nicely with my beloved Tammy!
And Twister, she thinks nothing of the pincushion, she only likes to pick out the pins one by one, silly cat!
I like to thank you for your visit to my blog and hope you enjoy this bloghop,
please don't forget to stop by the other participant of today:
Have a great day!
